Gardening Club

Where Colmworth’s amateur gardeners swap ideas and plants as they share their gardening trials and triumphs.

We are a small, informal group of gardeners of varying ages and gardening experience who have been meeting up since 2012 to share ideas, plan work sessions, trips and events.

The group contribute to the community by maintaining the ‘triangle garden’ by St Denys, the Village Hall garden, planting village verges and organising Christmas lights/Carol singing @ the ‘triangle’.

Meetings are held every six weeks in members’ homes on a rotational basis. Additionally the group hold various work sessions in the village throughout the year.

There are no membership fees, money to maintain and enhance the village verges and triangle garden is raised by club members through various fund raisers or by donations and is held in an earmarked fund in the Parish Council account.

If you enjoy gardening and would like to join us new members are always welcome, for further information please contact:  Nina Frew on  01234 376418 or email

Open Garden Day

Open Gardens 2017Great crowd pleaser and our main fund raising event. Club members and other villagers put on a show by opening up their gardens  to the public.  Generally between 7 and 10 gardens are open for you to view and at the same time visit the Triangle and perhaps take a wander around the Country Park. Start at the Village Hall where you can first build up your strength on tea, coffee and a delightful selection of cakes!

The last event was on Sunday 4th June 2017 and the next is expected to be held in early June 2019.
