 There is a rural bulky waste collection once a year, where larger items can be disposed of within the village. Times and dates are advertised on the website, in 'The Colmworth Chronicle' publication and on the community noticeboard.  The next collection will be on Sunday 9th June 2019.  Please take your bulky rubbish to the following locations:

Little Staughton Road 8.30am until 9.30am

Chapel Lane jct. Church Road 9.30am until 10.30am

Channels End Road 10.30am until 11.30am 

Times are approximate to allow for travel between sites 

Please do not leave rubbish at the site if the collection vehicle is not there.

 •Household refuse is collected fortnightly in Colmworth on Mondays. In recent past, collections have been made on Bank Holidays, but please keep an eye on the local press. You should leave your Black wheelie-bin in a prominent position near to the roadside before 7am

Bin collection calendar

RECYCLING COLLECTIONS - orange and green bins are collected together on alternate weeks except in December - Feb when green bins are not collected and it is only the orange bin.

Garden Waste - Green Lidded Bin

Grass cutting, plants and weeds, flowers, prunings, hedge clippings, leaves and bark, vase plants, pond plants Garden Waste

No thanks - Soil, rubble, vegetable peelings, kitchen waste, plastic bags, plant pots, polystyrene trays, animal bedding, pet waste, general household waste, persistent/noxious weeds (Ragwort, Japanese Knotweed, Spear Thistle, Creeping Thistle, Broad Leaf Dock, Curled Dock), fake plants.

Dog bins

There are dog waste bins in Chapel Lane, Green Lane (off Honeydon Rd), Honeydon Road, on the Triangle by the Church and in Shelford Lane at the end of Queens Road and there are four dog bins in the Country Park.

The dog bins are emptied fortnightly on Fridays by Bedford Borough Council.  The first day they will be emptied each month in 2018 is:

5th October, 2nd Nov, 11th Dec

The first dat they will be emptied in 2019 will be 8th January
