Bedford Borough Council  published a  draft local plan for six weeks of public consultation until 29th March 2018.  However, the plan has fallen through because the Garden Village at Colworth (near Sharnbrook) could not be delivered.  The developers failed to reach agreement with Santa Pod re noise abatements.

The information below is now for historical interest while we await the next draft.

In summary Bedford Borough Council were proposing that development occured in urban and edge of urban areas plus the former Stewartby brickworks, a new garden village in Sharnbrook plus some development in the larger villages.  No development was proposed in our parish.
