The planning applications received by the Parish Council can be viewed using the drop down year menus above. Details can be examined by following the corresponding links.

If you have comments or suggestions on any of the applications below, you may make these known by

  1. Making direct representation to Bedford Borough Council as described on their website
  2. Informing the Clerk to Colmworth Parish Council in writing as described on this website. Your comments will then be considered by the Parish Council when it responds to the application. Please note the deadlines imposed by the Bedford Borough Council
  3. By making your views known the responsible Parish Councillor, currently Graham Palmer, by telephone or email at the number/address published on this website.

 Comments on  applications should specify the relevant planning number sent to the Assistant Director (Planning and Housing), Bedford Borough Council, Town Hall, St Paul's Square, Bedford MK40 1SJ, or emailed  to

Please be aware that we post all planning applications on the website but we don’t post all planning applications on Facebook or the Trumpet. We have a policy for viewing and responding to planning applications and only Type 2 applications (see the policy above for definitions) are posted on Facebook and the Trumpet.

Bedford Borough Council is the planning authority with the power to grant or refuse planning permission in our parish. Colmworth Parish Council is consulted on all planning applications submitted to Bedford Borough Council from within the parish, and the comments the Parish Council submits are taken into account by the Borough Council, along with comments from statutory consultees, neighbours and other interested persons.
